Dr Joanna Lovatt provides a thorough consultation and creates a bespoke course of treatments specifically to suit your goals and since offering 3D Lipo treatments to our clients, we have been able to compile a list of frequently asked questions to address any concerns about the 3D Lipo process.

The treatment is perfect for post-baby bellies and resistant bums, tums and thighs being a safe, non-invasive procedure giving fabulous results.

How does 3D Lipo work?

3D Lipo combines fat freezing, ultrasound for fat reduction, radio frequency for skin tightening and vacuum rollering to reduce cellulite and improve overall skin tone.

Unlike other lipo offerings, 3D Lipo uses cavitation and cryolipolysis that physically destroys fat cells. The advantage of this is that clients are not required to exercise post-treatment in order to metabolise the released fat, which is a significant advantage over existing methods.

The cryolipolysis technology (otherwise known as fat freezing) is a unique combination of electro and cryo therapy which causes 20-40% of the fat cells in the treated area to die in a natural way and dissolve over the course of three months.

    Price: From £100.00

Cryolipolysis selectively targets the water content of the fat cell. A temperature of -5°C is applied to the problem area and maintained for a pre-determined time period to damage the fat cells, but is not cold enough to freeze the skin or any other soft tissue structures. The damaged fat cells begin a natural removal process through the body’s lymphatic system that continues for up to 4 months, causing the area to shrink in size.

Cryolipolysis is most suitable for stubborn pockets of fat which people struggle to get rid of through diet and exercise e.g. ‘love handles’. It can be used on many different areas of the body - abdomen, thighs, knees, chin, chest (men), back, stomach, waist, inner thigh, hips and upper arms.

During the treatment, one or two cryolipolysis heads are placed on the area, and a vacuum will pull the fat pocket into the cryo head. The heads are left on for between 30 minutes and an hour, depending on the area with often only a single treatment being needed. Results are visible within 6 to 8 weeks with the maximum benefit being noticeable between 4-6 months.
